Senior Research Associate
Akankasha contributes to CEEP’s research on labour, migration, and gender; continuing to explore how labour and women navigate spaces, technology, and freedom in an ever-shifting world. Akankasha holds a graduate degree in Economics from Sophia College, Ajmer and a postgraduate degree in Political Science. She also has extensive ground experience working with women migrants and agricultural migrants, understanding their lived realities, aspirations, and struggles.
A keen listener and storyteller, she finds inspiration in conversations with individuals, weaving their narratives into her research and writing. A poet at heart, her prose often reflects the complexities of life, migration, and longing. She calls herself a long-lost explorer, believing that “as a community, we are all lost and in losing, we discover, explore, and eventually, fly.”
