Leelu contributes to CEEP’s research on electricity governance with a focus on understanding these issues from a socio-political lens. She holds a Master’s in Rural Management from Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, Delhi NCR, along with a Degree in History from Jesus & Mary College. Her work is informed by field experiences with grassroots organisations working on agroecology, rural aspirations and self-governed community systems.

Outside of work, she enjoys going on long walks, learning farming tricks from family, and avidly watching cooking reality shows. She occasionally draws inspiration from songs and this quote from Steinbeck, “And don’t worry about losing. If it is right, it happens – the main thing is not to hurry. Nothing good gets away.”
