Electricity Governance
Electricity is integral to the ‘Right to Life’ under the expanded interpretation of Article 21 of the Constitution of India. Access to electricity is not a mere function of connectivity to the electricity grid. Affordability, reliability and quality of power are central to the multi-dimensional impact of electricity on health, education, critical public goods services, productivity, economic activity, and well-being.
Low Carbon Pathways and Transition Management
Global and national coalitions for environment and climate are mobilising resources, people and institutions to shape the course of climate action. CEEP commits to actively contributing to sub-nation action on climate change, especially in the state of Rajasthan. We aim to develop a multimodal strategy focusing on key sectors – power, industries, mobility, housing, public, and agriculture – to facilitate cogent action to counter climate change.
Climate Justice, Adaptation and Resilience
The impact of global change in climate shall vary across regions. The experience of people and communities is also likely to be a function of their various identities, often intensifying across social and economic fault lines. CEEP fosters a deep social, historical, cultural and economic understanding of communities and regions. It acknowledges that the most vulnerable are least represented, and hence strives for inclusive and equitable policy action.
